We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and team affiliation when you create an account. For donors, we collect name, email (optional), and donation amount. We also collect contact information you add for fundraising outreach (names, emails, phone numbers, and relationship labels).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the platform, process donations, send campaign communications on your behalf, and provide customer support. We use AI services to generate fundraising content based on the campaign details you provide.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with: payment processors to handle donations, communication services to send campaign messages on your behalf, and AI providers to generate campaign content. Team admins can view team member contact lists for campaign management purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Donation records are retained for a minimum of 7 years for tax compliance and financial reporting purposes, even if the associated campaign ends. Campaigns that have received donations cannot be deleted to ensure donors have verifiable records of their contributions.

You can delete your account at any time through your account settings, which will remove your personal profile data and any contacts you've added. Your donation history (if any) will be anonymized but retained for compliance purposes.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted passwords, secure API communication, and parameterized database queries. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

You can access, update, or delete your personal information through your account settings. You can request a copy of your data or ask questions about our privacy practices by contacting us at support@unitedraise.com.

7. Children's Privacy

UnitedRaise is designed for use by sports teams, which may include minors. Student accounts are created under the supervision of a team admin (coach). We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the platform. Parents or guardians may contact us to review or delete their child's information.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a notice on the platform.
